At poponin, we don't really believe in being told what you should make.
You can paint, potter, sculpt, stick, splash, build, experiment or just have a go at something you've never tried before.
There are no prizes for getting it right and no need to be “arty”. Just come in, choose what takes your fancy and see where it goes.
We love seeing what people make when they're given the time, space and freedom to do it their own way.
Come along and make something.
poponin is a little bit different. It's a place to slow down, get stuck into something and forget about everything else for a while.
You might come in for a quiet hour of painting, spend an afternoon covered in clay, bring the children, meet a friend or simply fancy trying something new.
It's relaxed, a little bit messy and hopefully somewhere you feel happy to be.
As one customer rather nicely put it:

poponin is run by Jess, with a small team of lovely, creative people who enjoy making things almost as much as they enjoy seeing what everyone else makes.
We work with little ones discovering paint for the first time, children coming along to clubs and parties, teenagers trying something different and adults rediscovering their creative side.
We're here to help when you need us, but we're equally happy to let you get on with it.
And yes, we probably have far too many craft materials. But that's never really been a problem...

There isn't really a right or wrong way to do things at poponin. Come and have a go. Try something different. Make something you're proud of. Make something slightly wonky. Change your mind halfway through. It's your time, so make it what you want.
We are pretty much open on request. All you have to do is book online and we open for you.
Whilst High Street parking is limited and time sensitive there are 2 car parks available in Hurst along with a fair amount of on street parking on surrounding roads.

Our wifi is available to all customers although where possible we like poponin to be device free so you can focus on being in the moment.
We hold an enormous amount of materials. Some you will see on display but always ask as often we have additional items stored.
Payments are in advance via our website. Any additional items can be paid for at the end of your session.
